Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial “roots” embedded into the patient’s jawbones in much in the way a screw is attached to a wall. Over a few months following placement, an implant becomes fused into the bone. Once this has occurred, a crown can be inserted onto the implant and is indistinguishable from a healthy natural tooth.

Implants can be used to directly replace individual missing teeth, or serve to anchor a bridge in place.
